Pieter-Mathijs Fegel has been working as Group Controller at AWL since 2015. Due to the continued growth of AWL and the further expansion to Mexico and America, AWL is pleased to be able to announce that Fegel has recently been added to the AWL management team as Chief Financial Officer.
In this role, he is responsible for the financial management and policy of AWL and the overseas subsidiaries, including governance, risk management and compliance. These topics are becoming increasingly more important in the growing international company.
Fegel, who graduated as register controller and industrial engineer, has gained experience in various financial positions at international companies in the manufacturing industry. He has also gained wide experience with organizational development at well-known multinationals. Fegel considers it a great challenge to guide AWL to a maturity level that suits a global company with a turnover of 100 million euros.
Fegel about his new challenge: “AWL is a beautiful company and an example within the Dutch manufacturing industry. The company has succeeded in building up a renowned customer database within the premium segment of the automotive industry and the special machinery market. In my role as Chief Financial Officer, I will take along complementary knowledge and experience into the management team. The challenge for me is to properly supervise the further growth of AWL and to conduct a financially responsible policy.”
