On Thursday, May 22, AWL once again opened its doors for a special occasion: the Veluwe Innovation Award 2025 presentation. For the second year, the ceremony was held at our headquarters - a strong recognition of our role as a hub for technological innovation in the region.
Over 200 guests from business, government, and education gathered to celebrate the power of regional innovation. This year’s award went to Picomel Nutrition from Zeewolde, a producer of premium infant formula. Their newly designed compact, modular, and energy-efficient production process made a strong impression on the jury. What truly stood out was their willingness to share their knowledge with other companies in the food industry, expanding their impact beyond their own operations.
In addition to the jury award, the audience also had a say. This year’s public prize resulted in a tie: Prins Bouw and Econowind both captured 18% of the votes with their forward-looking, sustainable innovations.
The event also marked the launch of Living Lab DigiNext, an initiative that combines technology and societal challenges. It’s a perfect example of what can happen when different worlds come together to drive progress.
We’re proud to have hosted an afternoon filled with bold ideas, entrepreneurship, and collaboration. This is exactly what innovation is all about.
