AWL-Techniek is planning an expansion in Harderwijk

During the past years, AWL-Techniek has experienced significant international growth. Besides the branches in the Czech Republic, China, Mexico and this year's start in America, the machine builder from the Veluwe region will now also be further expanding in Harderwijk. AWL has reached an agreement with the Municipality of Harderwijk for a building site of nearly six hectares on the Lorentz III industrial estate.

The continuous investments in innovations, international production facilities and skilled employees have formed the basis for the growth in the past years. The innovations, which are tested and presented in the customer experience- and training center, will be given a prominent place in the new building. In the coming years, AWL will continue to innovate, because that's in its DNA and of its employees. Besides innovations in the field of joining techniques, there will soon also be sufficient room for putting more innovations onto the market.

“Building on the Veluwe, is building on the basis: a basis for further growth”, according to Brand van ’t Hof, CEO of AWL. We invest in our home base and therefore in our innovative strength and capacity. Innovative strength that is retained by continual learning and investment.

The first phase of the new building is planned to be completed by the end of 2018. In the first phase, an assembly factory of 10,000 m 2 will be built, which can be doubled in the coming years. Office space of 4,000 m 2 will also be incorporated into the factory. The office space will be fitted out a meeting center, modern workplaces, training areas, a company restaurant and fitness facilities.
