Member of the Supervisory Board François Carstens bids farewell after 12 years as a SB-member

On May 31st, François Carstens stepped down as a member of the Supervisory Board of AWL Techniek Holding BV. After serving three terms of 4 years each, Mr. Carstens was no longer eligible, according to the law, to continue his role as a member of the AWL Supervisory Board for another 4-year term.

During his farewell speech at the recent shareholders' meeting, Mr. Carstens addressed the company's two shareholders, Brand van 't Hof and Piet Mosterd, expressing his appreciation and gratitude for the pleasant and constructive collaboration and the trust extended to him over the past 12 years.

"In the past years, I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal with immense gratitude about how a family business operates at its core and how a shared passion for technology takes shape and substance. On a shared passion: working together until the best results are achieved. On a shared mission and vision and unwavering confidence to overcome the inevitable setbacks that occasionally arise. And through my involvement, I have wanted to make a contribution that I believe has benefited the company and its owners," said Mr. Carstens.

With a wealth of experience and expertise, Mr. Carstens has made a valuable contribution to the development of AWL as a member of the Supervisory Board. As a member, he played a crucial role in safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders and providing valuable advice to the company's management and board.

During his speech, the former board member also praised his fellow Supervisory Board members for their dedication and professional approach. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, transparency, and a shared vision for successful business operations. Mr. Carstens expressed his confidence in the continued success of AWL, as well as in his successor, Ms. Brigitte Hegeman.

Mr. Carstens joined the Supervisory Board in 2011 and focused primarily on corporate governance, financing, and HR matters as a SB-member. His experience, knowledge, and dedication were highly regarded.

We thank Mr. Carstens for his dedication, contributions, and loyalty and wish him all the best. Starting from August 1st, we welcome Ms. Brigitte Hegeman as a new member of the AWL Supervisory Board.
